MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Founded in 1988, Artist-Run Centres & Collectives of Ontario (ARCCO) is a proactive voice and fierce advocate for artist-run centres in Ontario at both provincial and national levels. ARCCO’s advocacy efforts have raised the level of recognition, financial support and professional development of its members.

All ARCCO membership funds go directly towards:
 
Advocacy
• ARCCO is an active, founding member of the national association the Artist-Run Centres and Collectives Conference/Conférence des Collectifs et des centres d’artistes autogérés (ARCA). Working with ARCA increases our community's effectiveness to advocate at a national level on issues such as funding, professional development and employment conditions.
• ARCCO co-founded the Provincial Arts Service Organization Coalition (PASO Coalition) with Ontario Association of Art Galleries (OAAG), in order to raise the profile of the arts and increase funding to the arts in Ontario.
• ARCCO is on the advisory committee of ArtsBuild Ontario, in order to speak to the facility needs of our members.
• ARCCO fosters strong partnerships and affiliations between various provincial arts service organizations, creating connections with communities that intersect, overlap, and/or share similar needs and challenges as the ARC community.
• ARCCO works with other arts service organizations to bring member concerns to the development of joint ventures. The voice of Ontario artist-run culture is brought to all partnerships and joint activities through ARCCO.
 
Conferences, Meetings & Workshops
• Affordable programming which is discounted to members including national conferences, face to face meetings and discussions between members, and information sessions with funders
• Travel re-imbursement via ARCCO’s Travel Subsidy Fund for representatives of full and associate member centres to attend our Annual General Meetings, including all professional development programming and networking activities which are also held during the AGM weekends
• Assistance with securing travel funds to attend National ARC driven or organized conferences for full members
Information and Resources
• E-mail communiqués available to all members
• Access to professional advice and support via phone and face to face meetings, available to all ARCCO members and arts professionals
• Site visits where requested and needed, with new administrators or directors
• Archived information freely accessible to everyone on the ARCCO website
• Discounted rate for ARCCO Members and their artist members at Holiday Inn Express Downtown, 111 Lombard Street, Toronto
• Discounted CARFAC Ontario membership rates for full ARCCO Members, and your artist members
 
Dissemination
• A listing in ARCCO's printed and online Members Directory that is disseminated throughout Ontario and to key organizations nationwide
 
ARCCO / CARFAC Ontario
Through ARCCO’s exclusive partnership with CARFAC Ontario, full members can become CARFAC Ontario Institutional Members at a discounted rate of $115.00 which includes a copy of the publication: Artists’ Contracts - Agreements for Visual and Media Artists saving you a total of $45.00. Members who take advantage of the above membership deal can also offer their individual artist members a discounted rate of $60.00 for an Individual Membership with CARFAC Ontario.

SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY
Your ARCCO Membership supports artist-run culture by:
• directly supporting advocacy for artistrun centre interests at provincial and national levels; and
• providing advice and resource support to prospective members and collectives wishing to formalize.
